Performance makes it about us; serving makes it about people.

Our God-given gifts are not performances for us to “show off” how good we are.

Our gifts are resources to serve God, serve the body of Christ, and serve our community.

What a great opportunity we have to serve people through our gifts!

When you see your gifts as resources for the kingdom, your focus shifts to serving rather than performing.

Performing and serving both take center stage, but they cannot be center stage simultaneously.

It looks like one will have to exit stage left.
