For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16
From the very beginning God’s plan was for humanity to spend eternity with Him in heaven.
From the very beginning God’s plan was Jesus.
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of the world so we would be forgiven, restored, and saved (1 John 3:5). Jesus died and resurrected from the grave, as the Son of God, to be the savior for all of humanity (1 Peter 3:18). Through Jesus, we are no longer subject to death, but we now have eternal life. We are no longer slaves to our sinful desires; but, we have a choice to believe in Jesus who gives us a way to do better for ourselves and others (Romans 7:6). Before Jesus, God could not see or interact with humanity because of our sin. But now, through Jesus, God doesn’t see our sin. Through Jesus, God sees us as holy, acceptable, and righteous. God sees us through the blood of His Son.
You may wonder why you lust after things that you know in your heart are not right. We have all been in a place where our desires or even our pride has controlled us. That’s what sin does. Sin controls and causes us to live a life full of shame and regret.
But that doesn’t have to be the end of your story. You have the choice to live better.
God desires for all of us to believe in His Son. God is so loving and so kind, that He gives all of humanity a choice. A choice to believe or not to believe. He will not force, nor bend, or go against your will, but He will place you in situations to hear and receive the Good News of Christ. Make the choice to spend forever in eternity with God, the Father.
The only prerequisite you need is to CONFESS your sins (1 John 1:9) and BELIEVE in Jesus (John 6:47).
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” – Romans 10:9-11
My hope is that you would put your faith in the only one who can and will save your soul.
